A sample of World’s Best Parfumeries and the legacy they leave behind.

Libertine Parfumerie

A wonderful parfumerie here in Australia that promotes some of the best perfumes in the World.  Their legacy and masterclasses support what you think about yourself – Kings and Queens of the fashion industry would have worn them for decades and some brands are centuries old. My favourite is So Nude by Costume National.

Creed

AVENTUS

Creed is a popular brand chosen by George Clooney as one of his favourites if you are interested. There are fragrances for both men and women. An Anglo-French multi-national niche perfume house, based in Paris. The company was originally founded as a tailoring house in London, England in 1760 by James Henry Creed. Options to try at a masterclass at Libertine Parfumerie or pop into the store located in the James street area of New Farm, Brisbane.

Fragonard

Belle de Nuit

Set in Grasse, the fragrance area of France with fields of Lavender and everything required for perfume, Fragonard Parfumerie (1926) named after painter Jean-Honore Fragonard (1732-1806) a wonderful place to visit for me. I soaked in the fragrances and chose Belle de Nuit. Wondering whether I would be able to obtain in Australia both Saison (online) and Libertine offer Fragonard range.

No 5

CHANEL PARIS

Let’s speak about an absolute favourite of mine that has stood the test of time. Coco Chanel’s No 5.

My mother, Phyllis who worked for Lord Rothschild and Ambassadors in the South of England acquired the taste and insight she had always desired of Haute couture at its finest so it was befitting that my first bottle of perfume at age 15 years was Chanel No 5. The elegant Parfum has Jasmine sourced solely from Grasse in France.
